Two months after bringing home the Best Supporting Actor plum at the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), Ruru Madrid clarified that he has no hard feelings toward Sue Ramirez and Cristine Reyes, after the actresses went viral for their reaction to his winning the award.
Ramirez and Reyes, who were tapped to present the Best Supporting Actor award at the MMFF 2024 Gabi ng Parangal last December, caught the attention of netizens with their seemingly disappointed expressions before announcing Madrid as the eventual winner for the movie “Green Bones.”

Additionally, the “Lolong” star said he bears “no hard feelings” against Ramirez and Reyes considering that they had both worked with Lucero in “The Kingdom,” which automatically makes them root for their co-star.

(When I saw it, I was not upset at the presenters. I feel like they didn’t mean what they said or how they reacted. It’s normal to feel that way because Sid had two entries and they worked with him. So they would root for him. No hard feelings. For me, as long as we’re all happy, I see the fruit of my hard work, there is no problem.)
Madrid added that he is aware that not a lot of people were aware of his acting abilities before “Green Bones.”
I guess not a lot of people expected me to win because before working on this film, they didn’t see anything that would validate my skills as an actor),” he said.
